Club Social Scene

In addition to all the great walks, the club also has a lively social side to it.

Annual events consist of the Christmas Party, Club Dinner and Summer Barbeque, (plus pretty much any other excuse we can find).

Christmas Party

Last year's Christmas Party was very well attended. Starting with an walk in the Ballyhouras lead by Anne Murray Browne, followed dinner in Jasmine Palace, topped off with a few drinks and dancing into the early hours in the George.

Annual Club Dinner

In February we had our Annual Dinner in the Lake Hotel in Killarney, organised by Ann Marie. Thanks to Assumpta for leading what was a huge group for the Annual Dinner walk, particularly in the amazing winter conditions.

Annual Club Barbeque

Following the fun and games of the fancy dress walk led by Tina Cadogan in the Galtees, over 70 members attended the club’s Annual Barbeque in the Strand Hotel. A great night was had by all, particularly with the special appearance of Tina Turner and the club’s very own blues band on the night. Many thanks to Ann Marie and the rest of the committee for all their hard work in organising the event.

Weekly Meeting in Bobby Byrne's

Club Members also meet for a pint every Thursday night in Bobby Byrne's pub, O'Connell Avenue, Limerick City (opposite the Limerick School Project), see map. This is a social meeting and new or prospective members are especially welcome.

If you have any queries or suggestions on the social side of the club, please contact the club Social Officer, Bernie Roberts.
