Club Social Scene

In addition to all the great walks, the club also has a lively social side to it.

Annual events consist of the Christmas Party, Club Dinner and Summer Barbeque, (plus pretty much any other excuse we can find).

Christmas Party

Last year's Christmas Party was well attended. Starting with an 'interesting' local walk in the Clare Glens lead by John Dillon, followed dinner in Copper and Spice, topped off with a few drinks and dancing into the early hours.

This year's Christmas dinner is planned for the Jasmine Palace Saturday 19 Dec 7:00pm

Annual Club Dinner

In February we had our Annual Dinner in Lord Bakers in Dingle. At dinner, a cheque for €2,300 was presented to Kerry Mountain Rescue. The money was collected by means of a sponsored walk in the Reeks earlier in the year, organised by Michael McNamara.

Annual Club Barbeque

A total of 71 members attended last Summer's club barbeque, held the top floor of the Strand Hotel. The music and crac when on till all hours, a great night was had by all.

Weekly Meeting in South's

Club Members also meet for a pint every Thursday night in South’s pub, 4 Quinlan street, Limerick City (top of O'Connell street, just past the Crescent), see map. We're normally just inside the front door. This is a social meeting and new or prospective members are especially welcome.

If you have any queries or suggestions on the social side of the club, please contact the club Social Officer, Ann Marie Quigley.
